The act of downloading copyrighted songs that you didn't purchase, however, is. It's the reason why Napster was shut down, donchaknow. I figured, sure, I could download all the songs from the Internet, but then, I'm not helping the people who wrote the songs, because they won't be getting a cent from my enjoying their songs, nor did they personally offer to give me the songs for free. Since I paid for the soundtracks, now they might get a little bit of money from the sale of those CDs, plus I get some nice little booklets, cover art, boxes, and CDs.. And the soundtrack themselves only cost around $20 or $30 (I forgot the exact amount), which I think is a damn good price. Natty Posted September 7, 2001 Author Posted September 7, 2001 I still buy albums and soundtracks, but if it's like one song I like out of a whole album (and because I've gone into the CD shop, listened to the CD and thought it was crap) well then I'll buy it. I've taken to downloading moozik video's though. I've only had something like 2whole albums burned for me, I had the Charlies Angels soundtrack, which I didn't ask to be burned, I said I was gonna go out and buy it, but my friend went and burned it for me (coz I'm special he said) and I had Americana by the Offspring burned as well. My best friend has burned heaps and heaps of CD's though, it just depends on the person, some people think that "the artists have enough money, some people can't afford to go out and buy CD's" I'm in the middle, I'll buy a whole album, but not a single, if I just want one song, then I'll download it, if I want a whole album I'll buy it, is that such a bad thing? ------------------
