Oh, I wrongly thought bendak had his own row. Stupid me. What you can do, is create a new row for Bendak alone. You just copy the alien_mandalorian_03 row and paste in in a new row. There, you replace the name of the texture to your new one and save appearance.2da. Then, you need to change his appearance in Bendak's .uti file.

I'm just going from memory since I'm not on my home computer, so I may not get the exact names of files right.

First you'd have to change the skin's name to something like (for example) N_Mandalorian_99.tga, then in the appearance.2da you'd have to copy the Alien_Mandalorian_03 line and rename it (like Alien_Mandalorian_99). Then you would have to change the racetex colum to be the name of the .tga file (without the .tga extension), so N_Mandalorian_99.

Next you'd need to chage Bendak's .utc file to point to the new appearance line. That PM I sent you should have the exact name, but I think it is something like tar##_Bendak01.utc (I forget the correct numbers). Once you open it, there should be an appearance flyout box near the middle (on the first tab?) that should be changed from Alien_Mandalorian_03 to Alien_Mandalorian_99. The only hitch I came accross was making sure that my KotOR Tool settings (or preferences) would also look at the .2da files in my Override directory. If it isn't set right, then the new appearance will not be selectable in the .utc file.

I'll edit this post when I get home, so that I'm more accurrate, but hopefully this will help you get started.

Well I know to find the utc file but I looked in the templates but I am not able to find it.Can you give me some specific location

yeah, I'm home now.

Look under RIMs-> Modules-> tar_m02ae_s.rim-> Blueprint, Character-> tar02_bendak021.utc

Here is the appearance flyout I talked about earlier, and the options check box to make sure that Kotor tool looks in the override folder:

BTW, I think that there is a nice white spot on Bendak's Left shoulder plate that is just begging for a clan symbol. There are some Mandalorian symbols on Wookieepedia (click here) that you might want to use as a reference.

Hey,redrob41 I tried to do this but something does not work when I test it in game.First I made a new appearance by coping and renaming the alien_mandlorian_03 then changed the racetex to the .tga I wanted to test (its the blue mandlorian .tga which I renamed to test this thing)Then I renamed the.tga and then when I opened it in the game it didn,t work I had also referred the appearance I want to use in the bendaks .utc file I tried and tried to make it work but something is amiss please guide me.Oh and are there any more sites where I can see some mandlorian symbols.

These are the images which show what I have done

Well, I just gave it a try, and it worked for me. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you have an extra underscore in the name of your tga file, and maybe in the racetex column too. I've named my skin "N_Mandalorian99.tga" without a space in front of the number, and here is my 2da file:

bendakin2dafileaa4.th.jpg

Sorry about my earlier post where I have that extra underscore, but I wasn't at home at the time, so I couldn't confirm that it was right :comp9:. Hopefully it will work now.

As for symbols, there is a file in Kotor's own ERFs->TexturePacks-> swpc_tex_tpa.erf called LSL_logos.tga that you might take a look at. I think that they might have been used for the swoop gang members, and I haven't found any other sites that are specifically for the Star Wars universe Mandalorians' clan symbols. Maybe you could make up a new one?
