Please, help with sith student (Kel Algwing)

I was trying to change the sith student Kel algwing's uniform into a robe but didn't realised that it was a shared model and ended up changing every sith that shared it. I was wondering if there is a way to give that character his own appearance so that I can dress him differently and not affect any other sith's look?

You can give him his own appearance type. Copy the line in appearance.2da that he uses (line 302) and paste it in as a new line at the end. Change the clothes model to the one you want him to use in the model* and tex* columns.

Then modify his UTC template files (kor35_kelalgwinn.utc and dan13_kelalgwinn.utc) to use the new appearance type you added (set the Appearance_Type field to the line number of your new line).

you can add a new line to the appearance.2da and put that number in Kel's utc file. You can find his utc file in Kotor Tool RIMs > Modules > korr_m35aa_s.rim > Blueprint, Character. The file's name is kor35_kelalgwinn.utc

edit: your's was quicker and better @stoffe

k, I found and extracted the needed utc but i am not sure where i am supposed to add the new line number in. I see an "appearance" pull down tab under the "basic" tab that is set to "Sith_Mal_Asian" but the options on that seem to be preset and I cant type anything in.

If you use KotorTool's UTC editor the text in the Appearance dropdown menu comes from the label column in the appearance.2da file. Thus put the label value on your new line to something unique, and then find that in the dropdown menu.

(Make sure you've turned on KotorTool using 2DA files from the override folder first, in the Tools menu --> Options --> Other tab.)

yea redrob's heads allow for variety instead of seeing the same face in 4 different students. I went one step further and gave all the students in the planet new faces and robes, then I gave the teachers all new faces and fancier robes, I also gave Uthar and Jorak new armor that looks like Bandon's but one in black and green and the other in black and red. Lastly I gave Yuthura a lightside look for when you see her in dant later.

I wish I could but it uses parts from other mods that don't belong to me, like the Echani and lizard heads from "RedRob41's Playable Lizardlike Characters and Playable Echani", the patterned robes I used for the teachers belongs to "Silveredge9's PAtterned Jedi Robes " and the robes I used for the students belong to "Shem's K1 Prequel Style Robes". The only thing I did was modify the utc to use them, made a lightside version of Yutura for dant and created new textures for Jorak and Uthar's eyes and armor.
