Xalard
1. is there any way to make character get force power on certain level (like sith lords gets crush opposition)? or maybe it's hardcoded like attributes points? i can't find anything about it in spells.2da 2. where I can find what feats do? i don't mean feats.2da, i mean something like: how much dmg power attack adds, how much hp toughtnes adds, etc. (or maybe its hardcoded too?) 3. in feats.2da, in xxx_list column theres 4 options: 1 that allow to select that feat, 3 that show it, but dont allow to select it (i guess) and 4 that don't allow you to see or choose feat. So my questions: what does 0 do(? I guess its same as 1, but i'm not 100% sure. is there possibilty to use number 2? 4. can I disable spells/forcepowers for some npcs, like it can be done for feats? 5. do minstr/dex/int/wis work in feat.2da ? 6. is there any rebalance mod done/in progress? I don't mean hardcore mods or incrased difficulty mods. I mean something like changing amout of hp/fp/skills/feats/powers classes get, adding new classes, rebalancing items, etc.
Darkkender
For num 1, yes you can get certain powers at certain levels it takes some fancy dancing and scripting. For num 2, most of the feats are hardcoded so it takes reading through the dialogue.tlk file or direct knowledge of the D20 Star Wars Pen & Paper RPG. For num 3, offhand I'm not familiar with the columns you are asking about here. You may need to provide an example of what "XXX" means so we can answer your question better. For num 4, What do you mean by disable for some NPC's are you talking about making certain powers only available to Jedi sentinels or something different, if the answer is yes then your answer is yes, if your answer is something different then the answer is maybe. For num 5, they should I haven't used that recently but it works in most other applications of the feats.2da I've used. For num 6, There have been a few. Xalard
oh, i forgot to add that all of that questions are about TSL, not kotor 1. at 3. by xxx i mean classes, theres sol_list (soldier), sct_list (scout), jma_list (jedi master), etc. at 4. i mean disabling power for npc (not class), or giving it to them on certain levels. Just like Kreia have disabled two weapons fighting and blaster rifle in feats.2da, or like hanharr (or something like that xd i dont remember) gets his wookie feats on higher levels, but with forcepowers. at 6. can you give me any names of them/links to them ? Darkkender
These answers would really be the same for either version of KOTOR. For 3, if I'm understanding your description of it without looking at the file right now I would say that those codes are what determine availability to the class and at what level. I will try to crack open the 2da tonight and give you a clearer answer provided I have power back on. For 4, I would say that by editing the 2da it isn't possible. Now as to specifically disabling feats for certain NPC's such as your example of Kreia above alot of that is not actually changed by feats.2da. As I recall Kreia's limitation is because they have a variable set in something like the appearance.2da file and not in the feats.2da. For 6, I would browse the "Taris Upper City Emporium" TUCE for short. http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Xalard
in apperance.2da theres limitation for 2nd hand. in feat.2da theres some charcters names at end, just before exclusions. You can either write some number here, to make it automaticaly gained at this level, or write 255 here to disable certain feat. at 3. i don't need anyone to just look into this and tell me what it do ;/ i need someone who actally TESTED it in-game. i looked into this before and its really easy to guess what everything means, cept for that 0 and 2 in xxx_list columns at mods, after searching for 'rebalance' it gived me: hardcore mod, autobalance.2da mod, 3 unrelated mods, rebalance for K1, veridian echo mod that dont change much and shamelessposer k2 rebalance, but with unworking link ;/
Darkkender
When a person says "They will look into it". This is usually because they have an idea of what you are refering to but want to get a clearer picture before they answer your question more completly. Alot of fields in 2da files cross reffrence other 2da files and frequently require editing anywhere from 2-6 2da files for everything to work smoothly. tk102
1. is there any way to make character get force power on certain level (like sith lords gets crush opposition)? or maybe it's hardcoded like attributes points? i can't find anything about it in spells.2da In spells.2da there are columns with class names like guardian, counseler, sentinel etc. The numbers in these columns represent the minimum level required to attain the given force power. A **** means that power is not available at all. There is also a prerequisites field which needs to be considered. This field contains underscore delimited prerequisite spells.2da entries that the player must possess before the force power becomes available. A **** means there are no prerequisites. spells.2da tour appearance.2da tour 2. where I can find what feats do? i don't mean feats.2da, i mean something like: how much dmg power attack adds, how much hp toughtnes adds, etc. (or maybe its hardcoded too?) Feats do not do anything in and of themselves. They are simply decorative flags that the game puts onto a character that the game engine knows how to interpret. Some feats are queried by scripts with the GetHasFeat function. 3. in feats.2da, in xxx_list column theres 4 optionsYou don't need to concern yourself with anything listed with xxx as those feats have been scrapped by the game. Xalard
at first i dont mean having access to spell (being able to choose it on level-up), but GETTING it (being able to use it spending spellpoint to buy it at lvl up). at third positon i don't mean theres actually xxx_list in column. theres scd_list, sol_list, jma_list, etc. so i just replaced it all by xxx to dont must say all of them, but i think that no one understanded what i thought about, sorry, my fault.
