[JA] Strange graphical glitch.

OK, so i just bought JA... (Yes i'm a bit late, but it was cheap as chips). Now whenever i start a game, the avatar of my character at the character set up screen is messed up and clipped to hell.

 

Secondly, when I decided to ignore this and play it anyway, there seems to be a permanent patch of ground somewhere around chest-height that follows my character around in every in-game cutscene and during gameplay, making it impossible to play.

 

wtf?

 

edit: i've also installed the patch, to no effect.
