Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 If it's bothering you i'll just take it off, or find a way to make it so it won't automatically appear each time i post unless i click a box.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 it's this picture, i think you've seen it at rs.net already though.
Spaff Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Yeah dude thats HUGE!!! just make a nice small Avatar!
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 well, despite the size, do you like the picture? I'm trying to get good at making funny ones. check out some on my site: http://www.angelfire.com/extreme/atst/index.html
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 *reads Spaff's sig* ugh... I need to play Day of the Tentacle... Rogue15, yup it's too big. If you want to have an avatar, I suggest that you take the head of a character, instead of a screenshot. It wouldn't look good in 70x70 resolution anyway As for a sig... if you really want to have an image, I suggest one in a banner-like format. Don't make it too big (in resolution AND kilobytes) . Think about the 56k modem users or those who browse the web in 640x480 or 800x600. They don't want a picture filling up their screen.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 ok. I still am in the 'Rogue Squadron 3d funny pictures' business, so i could make one funnier than that one and smaller too. hehehe.
Guest Boba Rhett Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Well, you need to make ones that are funny for obvious reasons. Not ones thatyou need to explain why they are funny. *Example of hilarius pic* http://www.geocities.com/boba_rhett/info.html BWAHAHAHAHAA!! *wipes tears of laughter away from his eyes*
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 ok... but my pic made sense to all the rogue squadron fans. (except for tie guy since he has no sense of humor whatsoever. ) (j/k tie guy)
Guest Redwing Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 The Rogues are gonna eat this site for lunch.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 perhaps. try to reply to every new reply that isn't yours. that's what i'm doing, it's pretty fun.
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 *sigh* Spamming is not permitted here. It is not a playground. If you continue spamming on this thread, I will have to close it down.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 What? spam? I was doing no such thing! I was just replying to all the new replies! that's not spam!
Swoosh Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Yes, you guys reall need to calm it down on this forum. We will not allow this to be your playground since we have a lot invested in this forum. Please respect us and the fellow members by not spamming our boards. This is going to be the most tightly moderated board in the network for awhile, so try to be considerate. Swoosh
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 what would you consider spam? i've been posting to replies that aren't mine. and i haven't posted anything offensive either.
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Here is the definition of "spamming": Sending numerous and or unwanted and disruptive amounts of messages NOT related to the topic. Is that clear now? Your thread was about if your imagine sig was too big, remember? Don't post if your message won't contribute to the discussion that is taking place, even if you are the one who started it. Another thing that is considered spam is posting a large number of useless threads that could be combined into a single, more interesting one.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 oh. ok. i'm so used to posting stuff not related to subject. very short leash this is.
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 I know, but the goal here is to have some intelligent and rewarding discussions, not some kind of chat. I'm glad that you understand that!
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Never go to RS.net then Sherack. The day we stay on topic over there is the day hell freezes over. Plus, isn't this the "OFF-TOPIC" forum.
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 Off Topic Forum means that you can discuss things not related to GB. Not that you can post trash (sorry Rogue15) like "Goodnight guys!". Rs.net is different. Lucasarts made it clear that these are the Premier GB forums, so take them seriously. Now that it's understood, move on.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 oh. yeah that's right. i did see them at lec.com. lol now i look stupid in front of the authorities. I guess they'll have to take me out back and flog me for my misbehavior.
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 Ok, sorry Sherack, i just get a little sarcastic at times.
