Kotor Help - Needed Making Module

Hey Dude's

 

I have a very annoying problem i make a module with Kotor Tool its danm13 Dantooine anywho everything is fine except when i come to make the ERF file i put it all together and save it. it works fine but when i want to edit it i have to make the erf file again and then save it as a new module like the 1st was

mod1.mod and when i saved the edited one as mod1.mod it stayed the say so i deleted temp and removed it from my modules try it again it does nothing so i make a new module and it works its updated and clean but the thing is i can still warp to the modules that are deleted and its anoyying that i have to name it somthing diffrent each time for the mod to work any idea's ???

Alright, I know exactly what your problem is. I've had the same thing happen to me before when I was module editing. KotOR tool places a file called 'templatetags.bfd' or something to that effect when it saves in a new folder. This tells KotOR Tool to save/export to that folder until the tags are moved. Your .mod exported, just to a different folder. What you can do is change you save path under paths (I think). Well, that's all I've got for you, and I hope you get things worked out.

No offence intended, but it would be helpful if you organize a bit what you want to say. Reading what you wrote does not enlighten me very much.

 

But I think you want to create a new (or changed) module. If you change anything in said module after you made a new .mod file you always have to create a new one including the changes.

 

Also each .mod file must go into your modules folder of you KotOR directory. KotOR Tool saves the newly created .mod file into its own K2 folder by standard (if I am not mistaken).

Hey Mate I found it in C:\Program Files\Kotor Tool\Global Templates\K2

 

its called K1TemplateTags.bfd so yea,

Hrm no luck i even try deleting it but it still transports me to the old module I want it so it wont do that, so its gone and I, could make the module and it work, not use the old module any idea's ??? because it loads the old module i saved in C:\Program Files\LucasArts\KOTOR\modules and i delete from there but the npcs still stay there and the old module just stays the same any ways to delete it completely so i can make the mod again ?? btw i'm wrighting this @ 11:11 PM NZ TIME lol thats why i'm typing so well sloppy I'm kinda tired and modding so much fun and i love making mod's some nights i stay up all night just to learn I want to help and get support and support others of the Kotor community Kotor rocks and so does everyone on lucas forums
