TheSpartanJedi
I have the Best of PC version of KotOR 1, and am having trouble installing it. Everything works just fine, up until the file repcom.bik. It stops there for a couple minutes, and then gives me the following error message: Feature transfer error Feature: DefaultFeature Component: DefaultEN File: D:\KOTOR\data7.cab Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Q
This sounds like a dirty or scratched disk. Have you tried cleaning the disk and/or using a disk repair kit?
Totenkopf
What's your OS? I used to have XP and then got a new computer that was burdened with the Vista OS. I started getting that cyclic redundancy error mssg as well when I attempted to install K1. I had to install it "manually" via the Control Panel. It works, but I'm stuck w/v1.0 b/c attempting to upgrade to the latest version causes that annoying securrom problem.
Q
Yeah, if you have Vista, you'll need to check out the first two posts at the top of the page and follow the instructions there.
