Eefluxx
I recently went to turbosquid to see about 3dsmax and how much it would cost. I already have g-max and was wondering about upgrading to 3ds. I came across some downloads on the site like version 7,8,and9 and I also came across 2008. I downloaded the 2008 version and it didn't charge me anything and I was wondering if I even got the right thing. When I looked at the file (without opening yet) the file name reads: Turbo Squid Tentacles 3ds Max 2008 v3.2.0 My question for all the great modelers out there who use this program is: Is this the same thing or is this just another plug-in type element like NWN plugin? Inyri
What that probably is is the equivalent to game packs available for gmax. So yes, it would be closer to a plugin; you won't be able to find a (legal) free version of 3DS Max on Turbosquid or anywhere else. The currently available version of 3DS Max on Autodesk's website is currently selling for $3,495.00 USD. Edit: Just googled what you listed and got the following from Turbosquid's website: Tentacles, TurboSquid's new, FREE plug-in, fully integrates our online content library into your favorite 3D applications. Use it to find and purchase new content, to organize and back up your critical work files, and to develop workspaces without ever leaving your 3D application.Hope that answers your question.
