frozenjawa
I made a Luxa reskin so I figured I'd try to make a new head choice out of it. I followed this tutorial like to the letter almost but not so much because its a different head lol. The head is missing on the game screen. Not the whole body but just the head is missing.... I looked over all of the 2das and stuff but I can't seem to find a problem. Any ideas?

This thread has some interesting info on heads (after several other posts): http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=186873 I'm unsure if the issue ever really got resolved. frozenjawa
Ok I found out that a while ago I fixed some typos but forgot to put them in the override(silly me ) but now the head shows up but there is no texture. Its just a white head. I have the tgas in the override. I'm guessing I have to do something to point the textures to the head. But the question is how
Quanon
Ok I found out that a while ago I fixed some typos but forgot to put them in the override(silly me ) but now the head shows up but there is no texture. Its just a white head. I have the tgas in the override. I'm guessing I have to do something to point the textures to the head. But the question is how Did you edit the model files, the .mdl and mdx. You'll have to alter the orginale texture name contained in the .mdl to your new skin name. Its a small Hex-edit or you can use MDLops to alter that. THough becarfull, you need to use the same amount of Letters/numbers. So if the orginale skin was: LuxaH01.tga, yours should be 7 Letters/numbers aswell. So make sure you got the same name in every file. Else the game won't find it
frozenjawa
So if the skin is called N_lala_XuH.tga then I change it to like N_luxa_XuH.tga. To keep it simple lol. Then do I have to change the stuff in 2das? To match or can i just keep them the same but just change the name of the tgas? OK I tryed to do the hex editing and found all of the places where N_lala_Xuh was and change them. Then I changed the tgas and the head 2da to match. Buts its still a white head. Quanon
Blast, thats weird. I'm not to sure on the 2DA editing, been a very long while since I did this kind of thing. And I know it can be very dodgy to get it working properly. IIRC, its just TGA renaming and the head.mdl & .mdx, though the latter might involve some Hex editing aswell.
