Whoa... a new release?

Wow, I must have forgotten to check this page for about five months... and I missed the 6 level release update! My humblest apologies.

I'm downloading it now and perhaps I can check it out later tonight...

I'm going try to post a "news" (even if it's old) update about this by this coming weekend.

I'm sad to see this project is "ended" without being completed, but I am glad that you have released more material.

My plea for the developers of this project: Release all your "work-in-progress" and let some other fans create a Multiplayer project based on this.

I think a "Dark Forces Multiplayer" mod would be fantastic and would get more publicity for this project for others to continue your work.

I think a "coop" style mission... like the SAGA/Siege engine would be a much better way to do this (re-create the single player experience in the JA engine) than doing it all in Single Player. But somebody has to take the first steps.

As I'm in grad school and working, I have never had the time needed to do any serious JK2/JA editing, sadly, so it's not my place to do such a project.

Anyway, kudos, may the force be with you!

Hey Kurgan! Long time no hear! Glad you are liking the 6-level demo. Actually, this isn't the end of the project. DarkStarMojo is heading up a new team to continue where the first team left off. Work has been progressing on the map Jabba's Revenge, the one that takes place on Jabba's ship. hhunter6 has been working hard on crafting the missing pieces of the map file that was missing from the development kit. He has a thread on it here. Some screenshots have been posted up on DSM's Dark Forces blog page, so please stop by and check it out. Hopefully things can get going in the next few months, depending on everyone's schedules.

We have released or work-in-progress assets. They've been a big help for the continuation of the project. Right now the focus is on completing the single player campaign. But I will let you in on a little secret. If that goes smoothly, I am planning a multiplayer component.

In the meantime, enjoy the six level release!
