Revanchist
Hi, I just found a very nice skin for HK-47, from following site: http://www.angelfire.com/crazy2/xclone_0101/kotor_mods.htm (scroll down a little) In readme it says; "open with winrar and drag + drop all but appearance in to your Override dir\ **if you have your own k1 appearance then under the envmap column change **** to CM_Baremetal for hk47 if not, then extract appearance.2da with Kotor Tool and do the same thing I just mentioned above " I don't get the last part. What is 'Kotor Tool' and how do I use it to extract the appearance.2da? Thanks in advance.
ForeverNight
I take it you're new to modding? KotOR Tool is the swiss-army knife of KotOR Modding, it allows you to modify files used within the game and to create your own. You can get the tool Here. In order to export Appearance.2da you install KotOR Tool and have it detect your install of K1. After that is done you open up the KotOR 1 stub. Then you open the BIF's stub, .2da bif's stub, 2d array stub, and then, finally, you will be within the 2DA files used by the game. Once there, you click on Appearance.2da and tell KotOR Tool to export it to a selected directory. From there, you open the file with KotOR Tool's built in .2DA editor and then save it. After that, you drop it into the Override Folder, viola, its done!
