Q
Thanks for listing your system specs. These games don't like Vista, but there are a few tricks that you can try that are in the Vista thread at the top of the Work Bench. I would also try putting "DisableVertexBufferObjects=1" (without the quotes) under "Graphics Options" in the swkotor.ini file. In order to do this in Vista, you'll have to copy the file to your desktop and make the changes there before moving back into your game folder. The game might be having a problem with your multi-core CPU, so try the fix listed here in the work bench. If it doesn't work for your Phenom, you could try to search for an updated version that does. You should also try going back to an earlier save. You have to save a lot and in several different slots with these games, for technical as well as gameplay reasons, even if you're running it on XP. PepsiCola0613
allright so i got it working. i did some looking around and found a solution..... so anyone who has around the same problem, heres what i did! i downloaded the drivers for my vid card again. but i didnt install it. i unpacked the drivers and then opened up my system32 folder and found the file named atio6axx.dll. i copied it and then opened my star wars kotor dir and pasted it there. it fixed all my problems and i was able to run kotor on the high settings =] make sure the driver you are copying is the openGL driver for your vid card. (if you hover over it, it should say. for example when i hover over mine it says "File Description: ATI OpenGL Driver")
