Ya Ishchu... ("I Search For...")

(Author's Note: I know I could get totally flamed for what I say in this poem, but I'm posting it anyway. As some of my readers have said before, a good writer pours his or her heart out onto the page--here I go again!)

Ya Ishchu...("I Search For...")

One faith

Beyond all the words that books say,

Beyond all the words that men say,

Beyond guilt, fear and shame.

One creed

That pays no heed to stigma,

Shaking its head at dogma,

Evil deeds done in its name.

It sees no one as hopeless,

Beyond forgiveness--

Ya ishchu...

In secret disgrace,

Will I search always?

One path

That views us not as sinners,

Rather as just beginners

In this vast universe.

One way

That's not about fixing your behavior,

Condemning your human nature--

An impossible traverse!

I see no one as hopeless,

Beyond forgiveness--

Ya ishchu...

With a traitor's disgrace,

Will I search always?

Some say faith in myself's what I need,

But this, I will never concede.

I know that there's something beyond me, my life...

My faith said I was hopeless,

Beyond forgiveness,

Unless I accepted disgrace.

Will I search always?

Will I search always?

I immediately clicked on this thread as soon as I read, "I know I could get totally flamed for what I say in this poem, but I'm posting it anyway,"

I was like.... Ooohh, I just HAVE to read this!

And you know what I thought of it????

It was pretty dang good.

I have got nothing to flame you for it as for I agree with what is said. If the meaning I interpreted from it is indeed the meaning you were putting across, that is.

Nice work, Tysy and indeed you did put your heart into the piece and it shows immensely.

For me, this poem represents the hope in how faith can give us. And how quickly that hope can be taken away by our faith. Will ever stop searching for that understanding? Can we ever truly be forgiven for any sins that we commit?

As I said, this meaning may not be what you were putting across, and it may just be a meaning that is in the complete opposite direction to what you were aiming for and it does not relate to that of the poem at all.

But it is just my view on it.

Whatever the meaning, it was well written and I need to read some more of your work because for each part I read, I continue to like how and what you write.

Keep it uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!
