Hayden Kered
I have a job interview later this morning at McDonald's for Maintenance. I am nervous about the interview and was wondering what some of you do to relax before an interview?!
jawathehutt
Just relax and take a deep breath before the interview. Know what you will say if they ask you a question like what do you think could be improved with this restaurant and what are your positive and negative traits. Other than that I cant really help you since both of my job interviews have been incredibly easy, the 2nd one I was hired before the interview since they were so desperate for people. Da_man
Just relax. Have a pencil or something you can to get out your nervousness. Just keep it cool, man.
Hayden Kered
Well thanks for the advise, but it seems that I did not really need it after all. The Manager did ALL of the talking, I barely said anything. It did go quite smoothly, and I feel confident that I might get the job!
Astrotoy7
good to hear it went well I was going to suggest that you shouldnt get worried about those type of jobs. When you get into stuff youre passionate about and really want, thats a different story. Jitters are totally normal, and help keep you on your toes. Ive been to over 15 job interviews over the years and only got knocked back on one job because I didnt have the necessary language skills at that time for that role.. my French had become a bit rusty (it hadnt been mentioned in the job ad, otherwise I wouldnt have applied!) Some pointers for the future... >dont have a huge meal prior to a job interview! >try relate questions to things you have done, experience or training that you have had, rather than appear to purely speculate >dont be shy to ask for questions to be repeated or clarified >Dont get too wrapped up in the 'what to do you want to be doing in 5 years questions' >> I usually said something along the lines of 'get more experience working in different areas(such as the one you are there for!), which will guide my decisions about what will happen in the long term' good luck mtfbwya
