Rtas Vadum
Well, I've done a few reskins(namely the one i've posted here), and I've noticed that getting the portraits similar to the ones in the standard game, is what others have done, but i can't seem to get it even similar.. Anyone have a better method than the obvious, using another party member in first person view, and taking a screenshot?

Anyone have a better method than the obvious, using another party member in first person view, and taking a screenshot? Thats usually what I do, and I get some pretty good shots. You just have to go into Solo Mode so that the PC won't move around so much, get close, and take a good shot.
redrob41
Well, I've answered this question a couple of times before. Here are links to the threads so that I don't have to re-type 'em: (TSL)How to get a good portrait for you character Creating new Portraits Don't forget to use the advanced search feature. svösh
^So did I back in the day, nothing beats getting in to a conversation with anyone for mask shots anyways. In kotor or tsl you can also go to solo mode then use an npc in first person mode. Note t3 m4 has a shader effect so you will want to turn off frame buffer if you use him to take any pictures. use a free app like IrfanView : http://www.irfanview.com/ or xnview http://www.xnview.com/ to take many screen shots saved to a new dir\ and pick from your favs later it's better then copy pasting via windows clipboard look for the capture tool in both apps. I also like to hack my camerastyle.2da in kotor adjust tiltup and tiltdown to change the static camera tilt and the tilt speed. For portraits changing distance could help zoom in depending where you are , indoors, outside on the hawk, it's all pretty straight forward in the 2da and you can edit it while in game, then just reload a quick save to see the changes after you save it again. if you screw it up then just extract camerastyle.2da again and start over or remove it it's up to you.
