Falconzord
Hi everyone ! I'm glad that I've found a forum for X-Wing Alliance. Years ago I've completed this awsome game and now I want to play it again. But I've got the following problem: In the video options I can choose my 3d accelerator, but the actual game looks like it's in software mode. (no filtering, a bit studdering). The resolution is as I've chosen (higher than choosing software rendering in the options). I'm sure the last time I've played it the graphics were better. I've searched this forum but found nothing. I've installed the latest nvidia driver for the geforce 4400, tried several options in the graphic card settings, installed the xwa patch and reinstalled XWA in the smallest setting, but none worked. My System: Athlon XP 1800+ 512 mb RAM GeForce ti 4400 Windows XP Can anyone help me please, because I want to install the X-Wing Alliance update and play this game online for the first time ! thanks in advance, Christoph Müller
Wildstar
Something you might try...uninstall the game, reinstall the game with no patch, run the game to set your 3D hardware and other video options, exit the game, then install the patch. Falconzord
Hi, thanks for replying ! I've tried what you've suggested, but without success. BTW I've noticed that the prerendered videos such as the totally games logo or the briefing animations don't play smooth either. Shall I post a screenshot to see what the graphics look like ? Wildstar
I'd suggest upgrading the card, but the latest ones have their own problems (first the missing target box, then the disappearing 3D objects). :|
Falconzord
I've already installed the latest driver for my graphic card from the nvidia site.
Wildstar
I meant a hardware upgrade, not a driver upgrade.
