UV mapping <Please Help>

Hi all. I got a question to ask.

The thing is I'm creating a Commander Cody Armor set. Its almost done, I just have a problem with the Backpack. I figured that by adding the skin for the backpack next to the one for the armor and using UV unwrap to place the points in its proper place.

This is where the problem comes in, when I did the unwrap. The points for the armor, Class 9, expanded since the skin used was twice the long as the regular. Is there anyway to keep the points in place and not have it all over the place?

I would appreciate any help given.

So instead of the standard 512x512 size, you used 1024x512/512x1024?

If your using GMax, select all the verts, and then use the scale up and down/left and right, depending on how your verts are stretching. (If you hold down the button for the normal scale button, you can get to it. Its the one thats going up and down/left and right.)

If your using 3dsMax, like before, select all the verts, and press the button next to the scale button in the UV Map window (not the rotate button). Using that, press a corner, and drag it down/sideways as straight as possible until it fits your map.
