Don't check the objectives?

lol

Have you tried running it without computability? I was always able to get DF and DFII working on my old XP machine without any computability mode.

without any computability, the game crashes whenever I load/save (19 out of 20 times)

with win95 mode enabled, the load save works much better , still crash 1 out of 20 times but it is much better

so to answer, yes of course I did try to run it without computability and the result was an unplayable game

I have "Disable Visual Themes" and "Turn off advanced text services for this program" both selected also, you might want to try that. And I have it on Win98/ME compatibility too for some reason...

Thx, I tried that but it still crashes whenever I press "Return to Game" :(

Assuming your drivers are all up to date, have you tried making a shortcut to jk.exe and adding -windowgui at the end of the target field? The shortcut will inherit all the compatibility options that jk.exe has.

Yes I have the latest driver and catalyst for ATI Radeon HD (9.6)

And yes I do launch JK with -windowgui command in shortcut and yet, "return to game" crashes 100% of the time.

the only way to go back to main screen from subscreen is either to load or save

I suspect it is yet another bug in the latest ATI drivers/hardware

I will try to issue a complain to ATI but I doubt they will care much =/
