KOTOR 1 crashes everytime immediately upon startup

I have looked extensively through many different stickies and such to try to troubleshoot this but with no luck so far on my end. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated, I am dying to play this with mods again, tired of the Xbox version.

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, then you should reinstall the game according to the large-type instructions in the second post of this thread. Follow them carefully.
