Q
Hi. Looks like you're running Vista or 7. Which one? Also, if you can get the launcher to come up, could you post your system specs? Post your system specs Sometimes we're just not going to be able to help you if we don't know what kind of hardware you have on your machine. If you don't know what you have on your machine, then follow these steps below: Bring up the launcher menu for Kotor 1 or 2. Click on "Configure". Click the "Scan Hardware" button on the lower center of the window. Click "Yes" to continue. Click "Details" to view your system specs. Click "Save Report" and save the file to your desktop. Whenever you post your problem, open the file you just saved and copy and paste the contents to your post. We should be able you fix this and have you up and running, but you're probably going to have to reinstall the game.

Q
Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I didn't mean that you should reinstall the game right away. You're going to have to reinstall it according to the directions in the first two posts of this thread. Look for the paragraph in larger type in the second post for the proper procedure. Q
Oh, God. It's that damned SecuROM. OK, you're going to have to replace the "fixed" .exe with the original one (which is why I told you to back it up) and then go to the SecuROM website and jump through their hoops. What it's going to involve is you downloading and installing their diagnostic tool and then emailing the file that it spits out to them. They will then email you a link to an updated .exe that's configured for your particular setup once they confirm that your copy of the game is legit. The game should run fine then. Just out of curiosity, which version of the game are you running (original stand-alone version or Best of PC)?

Q
Ah, so it was detecting your emulator even though you weren't using it at the time. Thanks for posting and telling me how you fixed it. Have fun.
