Christos K
I have a few lightsaber mods installed that add lightsaber colors to the game as well as a few lightsaber mods that add new hilts like Oldflashe's, WotOR, etc. I was wondering how I could use just the hilt of a lightsaber on another lightsaber but keep its new color. The lightsaber hilt (not color) I had in mind to change is named g_w_lghtsbr20.uti.
reivzje
You have to edit the model who the lightsaber is using. You have to change the lightsaber blade color texture in the .mdl file in mdlops.
Christos K
How would I go about doing that? I am trying to use this hilt http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Sith_Lightsabre_Replacement;115421 (I don't plan on releasing this or anything by the way, just for personal use) On a lightsaber with a Viridian blade that has no unique hilt. reivzje
so you want that model with an different blade color ? 1.Open up mdlops 2.Select Kotor 1 and then the lightsaber .mdl file 3.Click on read and write model 4.Click on Renamer 5.There you should see w_lsabrered01 6.Rename that to the viridian blade texture 7.Click on write model and done you now have a new lightsaber
Christos K
There are four named w_lsabresith76 Under plane242=, plane239=, plane241=, plane240=. The w_lsabresith76 is a tga file that appears to be the blade's color. From what I know the blade color file is a circle basically with the color. Should I rename all four of those to the viridian color and then save it?
reivzje
Yes you have to rename it to the viridanian color
