RpTheHotrod
There are two versions..2D sprite version and some sort of 3d model version. Anyone know of a RELIABLE and safe place to download/buy either? Preferably the 3d model one...
Liverandbacon
You can buy it off of GOG.com (run by the company that made The Witcher). IIRC, most games on their site are around $5.99, but they are always DRM-free, and re-jiggered to work out of the box with Vista or XP (no DOSBox or workarounds needed). Even with the re-jiggering, most mods work fine for games downloaded from them. Edit: Looking at their site, it's the Atomic edition, which is supposedly the most complete form of the game. Also, I was right about mods, a GOG employee even posted a list of good mods in the forum.

RpTheHotrod
I grabbed it from the site mentioned above. Thanks!!!
Liverandbacon
Glad to help. When that site first started up, they had a Fallout 1+2 buy one get one free. Since I'd lost the games, I couldn't resist the offer of both working easily w/ Vista, downloaded onto a USB flash drive for portable fun.
jon_hill987
no DOSBox or workarounds needed Actually a fair few of them (Descent 1 and 2 for example) do need DOSBox, but the installer sets it up for you so you would not notice.

Oops. I made an assumption based only on the purchases I'd made. Thanks for the correction
