Possible Revan KoTOR Mod Idea

Hello all! First I would like to say that this is my first post here! (obviously) But, I've been watching the boards for a couple weeks, slightly skimming through the boards and downloading a few mods for KoTOR. I LOVE this site! It's very interesting and full of fun and active threads!

On too my topic though! :)

I have played both KoTOR and TSL, and I have to say that even though TSL has better game play and options, (and that is my opinion) I have to say I prefer KoTOR overall for numerous reasons. But, the biggest is the story of Revan. I have ALWAYS been fascinated with Revan and his journey's through both the Dark and Light Side of the force! As such, I have to say I favor his Dark Side play through better. Now, I must say it's not the "being mean and a total *******" that makes me love it, but more or less some of the cool attitude's (again in my opinion) the Sith Lord's have along with the dark clothing, red lightsabers, and just the over all dark outlook, pale skin, yellow eyes and all that nifty stuff! Lol.

Now, on to the idea:

Everyone has some type of knowledge of the journeys of Revan and Malak through their rallying of Jedi and Republic troops to the battle of Malachor V to their final turn to the Dark Side in the unknown regions. :thmbup1: Now I love that whole storyline and even though their are plenty of videos, text and such that describe these events that unfold, there is no game play. . .

What if someone made a mod that allowed the player to go through these events. Begin the game as normal, but under the known identity of Revan. (Or another name of your choosing ;) ) And start off the game maybe as Revan is starting to rally against the Jedi Council's decision. Or maybe a little earlier in time right before Revan's decision to rebel (opinion) when there is talk of the Jedi Council making their decision, and Revan finding out and approaching the Council. Overall, I'd LOVE to see a mod of some sort for KoTOR or maybe even overhaul TSL in a manner that allows you to play through these events.

Now, I do realize that the events on Malachor V were not described in great detail, nor are the events that unfold when Revan and Malak encounter the Emperor of the Sith. (Or maybe they were in a book I have not read. Please correct me if I'm wrong) so the maker of the mod would have to throw in a ton personal views and ideas, but I do think this is a great idea and possible project in the future I'd like to see done.

What are your thoughts and views on this subject users of LucasForums? :)

Please be open minded and share good thoughts!

Actually in the mod Brotherhood of shadow: Solomon's revenge, you get to play some of the key events in Revan's life; Malak's betrayal and the battle of malachor V etc...

Btw since this is concerning modding you should post it in holowan

Thanks for the info as far as posting it in the wrong section. I figured I might have been, but I was unsure.

As far as BoS: SR: I have played these key points which yes, satisfied some of this "hunger," but in the end only pushed it for want of more information and game play. I'm looking for a key mod based only off of Revan and Malak's "adventures."

On a side note, I haven't fully beaten BoS: SR yes, so I need to do that.

Okay i see...

As far as your mod goes, you should post it in the mod requests section in holowan and maybe someone will take it up, though as far as I can see by looking at older threads, it's very unlikely...

If you really want you mod to be made, you can start modding yourself and start a team

However pulling a team together itself might be damn near impossible... even if you do, you'll need to expect to do 90% (if not 99%) yourself. Teams are a good idea, in theory, but they tend to end up being with the leader doing almost all of the work... and yet the leader him/herself could not take the credit entirely even though they did most of the work alone, due to the fact that the other team members usually do a little bit of the work...
