Newby question

First of all hello everyone.

I have a silly newby question:

I've recently reinstalled the game.

edited the .ini file in order to enable cheats...

but nothing, i can't make the console appear.

apparently no matter what i change in the ini file, i can't see any change in the actual game...

 

got the game on a Vista laptop, not the best, but i could get it to work ...

any idea what I'm doing wrong?

ps: the original swkotor.exe file wouldn't launch the game, so i replaced it with another one, found on a patch download. this second file is a bit smaller than the initial, but have no clue to see if that is the issue...

if this is for tsl, there is no cheat console that appears like in k1...you can't see it, but it is there when you type

In Vista and seven you have to go into the right folder and click Compatibility Files in the bar at the top. There will be a seperate swkotor.ini file there that will work. This method works for me so should work for you.
