Sabretooth Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 On screen keyboards ftw! Do you manage to get past your boot screen without a keyboard? Ideally it should stop you and ask you to press F1 to continue. Try restarting your computer and see if your keyboard works on the boot screen. Press DEL to get to BIOS settings and reset them to default if possible.

Sabretooth Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Sounds like a hardware fault then. Call tech support or take it to whomever fixes laptops in your local vicinity. Do call tech support first. My second cousin will probably pick up the phone.

Laptops can be taken apart like any other computer, and, chances are, there are detailed instructions on how to do so online, along with a replacement keyboard for $20 on fleabay.
