Gannor, standing along the captain was taking a elevator to the command bridge. "So, tell me Captain," The captain then raised a hand and said, "Its not captain, its Arthur." Gannor smiled, "Very well, arthur i need to know what happened here." Arthur's smile faded, and the distressed look on his face explained more then words ever could to Gannor, he had seen that look many times, some times on his own scarred face. "They came from, from nowhere." The captain looked away, "A sith battle group, there were thousands of them, we did our best to get the civilian transports away, but most, most didn't make it." Well that explains the child on board a military vessel, thought Gannor. "Where were you heading when the sith attacked your convoy?" Captain Arthur of course was not suppose to speak to any one of non Republic personal about the republic war effort, but it seemed as if he had to get it off his mind. "We were heading to a distant planet in the outer rim known as, "X22 "River." Gannor frowned, "X22 River?" Arthur nodded, "X22 is it's Official code name, but most of the men gave it the nick name River." "And why is that?" Arthur gave him a scarred look, "Because of how many men, woman, and children die there." The Elevator came to a grinding halt, sparks shooting down from the light's above. The door slowly opened, giving off grinding noises as it did, the two men stepped through and started making their way through a field of people, men woman and children scattered across the room's, some resting, others getting medical attention.

"Are these," Gannor muttered softly. "Yes," Arthur replyed, "These are all that are left of the civilian convoy." Gannor could not believe the brutality of the sith, a standard vessel could hold hundreds of thousands of people, if his information was correct, there would be at least six transports per convoy. "You said you were heading towards a planet named X22 river, correct?" "That is correct Gannor." Gannor frowned, "If it's name, came from countless deaths of civilians, then why are you transporting so many to the planet?" Arthur sighed, "The republic's war effort is going poorly, with planet X22 being under populated, the republic hired volunteers to come to the planet and help in the reconstruction effort." "What made the Civilians die? in the first place?" Arthur glared, "What else, the sith." Gannor pushed on, "What could the sith do to wipe out a entire planet so thoroughly to make the republic have to hire volunteers?" "The sith normally bombard a planet into submission, then with troopers go planet side to finish the job, but this time was different, they used a bio chemical weapon of some kind that destroyed the planet's natural resources, that was the main supply of bacta and food to near by republic troops." Gannor's mind continued to fail to wrap around this conversation, some thing just did not add up, a republic convoy, heading towards a dead planet with hundreds of thousands of civilians, and a new sith bio chemical weapon? "Bio chemical weapon?" Arthur nodded, "That is correct Gannor, The sith launched a single vessel towards the planet, the near by republic garrison thought little of it and dispatched a small strike force to destroy the warship, but before they did the sith shot out a small canister towards the ship, so small in fact that the automatic defense batteries could not hit it." That shocked Gannor, standard republic automatic laser batteries could shoot faster the any known being's body could move, meaning any one brave or dumb enough to try and fly past one, would be space junk is a matter of seconds. "Is it possible the sith had the launch codes to the republic defense garrison?" Arthur glared at Gannor with that, "That is impossible!" "No one in this convoy or the X22 defense force would ever betray the republic!" Gannor chuckled, "You'll be surprised what people are willing to do when a shiny coin is waved in their faces. Arthur continued to glare and said, "Right through this door Gannor." He pointed towards a highly polished door with the republic navy's coat of arms. Arthur put his index finger up to the door, pressed to give finger prints and with in a couple seconds a voice rang out, "Welcome captain." The door slid open in a flash to show the large command bridge, oddly enough unlike the rest of the ship, the bridge was in top condition, sparkling lights from control consoles shined through out the room, tech officers walked about the bridge doing duty's, at the end of the bridge stood a slender twi'lek woman, hands folded behind her standing in front of the view port, staring out at the void of space. Gannor walked towards the woman, scooting passed officers, and walking around a large data receiver showing tactical information about a battle. "Admiral." She turned to face Gannor, smiled and shook his hand, "Good to see you again Gannor, i see life has been as terrible to you as ever." She continued to smile, and Gannor from with in his helmet smiled back. "You know it, so what is this all about?" Gannor folded his arms, "I received your message about a day ago, saying, We are in dire need of your help old friend, and then blaster fire scrambled the message." She nodded, "Yes, of course that would be the sith fleet, i had sent the message before i knew the sith would ambush us, they came from nowhere!" "I understand that, but you did not answer my quest, what am i doing here?" She frowned, "I think we better talk in a more, private area, away from," She looked at her crew, "Unsavory characters..."
