Hex edit conflicting robe model files

Can someone tell me or direct me to a tutorial so I can make all my robes installed in Kotor 2 The Sith Lords compatible with each other using a hex editor please? I hate having to remove one set of mdl files to make another robe work in game.

I seem to recall that you can use hex editing to modify functions of a model file similar to how KotOR tool modifies UTI files, like the texture number designation and so on, but someone else would have to clarify if that's true and also I'm not really sure what you mean when you describe what you want to do. Maybe elaborate?

 

Simple google search of "hex editor KotOR" returns two links right at the top of the page that are the most relevant to what you're looking for. 2nd link gets you a hex editor, 1st link leads back here to the directory of modding tools and tutorials.
