Two more Questions

1. Is there a way I can modify my Party NPC's starting Classes? I would like to make my Jedi as fast as possible so that I can use them sooner. It sucks having to wait till Nar Shaddaa for Atton. The others I'm not too worried about as all of them, except Bao and Handmaiden, are turned pretty easily, but Atton is by far my favorite trainable Jedi.

 

2. If there isn't a way to do the first, or if there is, it really doesn't matter, I've found the "makejedi" script in Kotor Tool and have a fair grasp on what it all refers to. However, if you play as a Sentinel, which is my personal favorite, out of your NPCs there are already three Sentinels and so I was wanting to know if there was a way to modify the "makejedi" script so that your NPCs would have different Jedi Classes depending on which Class you start off with yourself. I'm not sure if I'd actually be the right one to do such a thing, as I haven't even tried to rewrite script yet, but what I was thinking was this:

 

You: Male Guardian

 

Atton: Sentinel/Consular (Sentinel if Handmaiden is Guardian) Depends on who you turn first and what they turn into.

Mira: Consular

Bao: Guardian

Handmaiden: Guardian/Sentinel (Sentinel if Atton is Consular) Depends on who you turn first and what they turn into.

Visas and Kreia I could care less about, I try not to use them.

 

You: Male Sentinel

 

Atton: Consular/Guardian (Guardian if Bao is Sentinel) Depends on who you turn first and what they turn into.

Mira: Consular

Bao: Guardian/Sentinel (Guardian if Atton is Consular) Depends on who you turn first and what they turn into.

Handmaiden: Guardian

Visas and Kreia: See above.

 

You: Male Consular

Or if that's simply too complex of a mod, how about just a script that lets you decide what their class should be once you turn them. Either way, I'd be happy with it.

You're in luck! Both are possible, but the first is easier. However, that second idea I had never considered, and find interesting.

 

For the first one, just open their .utc files in KT(if you have a copy in the override folder, use that instead of the one in KT's files). Inside are multiple tabs, but one should be labeled Alignment(or something similar; it has a slider on it with Good and Evil at the ends) and this is the one you want. It has a dropdown box for classes, and you can select the one you want and then save the file in your override folder.

I actually thought about this a little bit more, and while I'm not interested in using Visas, someone else might be, so since she's the only one of your Party that starts off as a Jedi already, besides Kreia, I thought of this.

 

For Male Characters

 

You: Guardian - Sentinel - Consular

Her: Sentinel - Consular - Guardian

 

Now what this means is that if you start off as a Guardian, Visas will be a Sentinel like normal, however, if you start off as a Sentinel she'll be a Consular and so on and so forth. For Female Characters this order would simply be reversed so if you start as a Guardian Visas will be a Consular and so on and so forth.

 

Kreia, imo, shouldn't be messed with in this way since she's more or less the one training you and should be considered a rank above you and not subject to changing her class based on yours.
