HELP Installation Problem with KotOR

Whenever I install KotOR, [best of PC Edition] it shows an error message about 50% into the installation it says.

 

Feature: DefaultFeature

Component: DefaultComponent

File: E:\KOTOR\data6.cab

Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

 

How do I fix this? It has never done this before.

Woops, I never noticed "XBOX VERSIONS" Can a Moderator move this to the PC side?

I am no expert but i am afraid your disk may be damaged. You can try to clean it that sometimes works for me but the cycle redudance error happens when a disk (or a Reader) is damaged, worn, dirty or otherwise broken, i dont think it is a technical problem with installing. But others may reply as well.
