Pepper the pirate
I have that same problem with cds and believe me, there is nothing u can do... except try to change 2cd in right before the game asks u to (this worked only once in my computer). Yeah, and if it works, SAVE the game!!! [This message has been edited by Pepper the pirate (edited April 08, 2001).]

Guest grannen
May I guess that you are using a DVD? ------------------ and Grannen
Nanyuki
Yes, you are quite correct - I am using a DVD on my PC - Does this have a bearing on the problem?
Guest grannen
Some DVD's gives this problem. It has do do with their (non)ability to maintain the correct speed when reading the outer tracks. (This doesn't apply for all DVD's.) If you have a CDR/W unit then try to use it for EMI. ------------------ and Grannen
Pepper the pirate
Well, it's funny, 'cause that same thing happens with BOTH my DVD and ordinary cd-rom.... [This message has been edited by Pepper the pirate (edited April 08, 2001).]
Guest grannen
I don't think it is a very common problem for CD/R and CDR/W. In order to transfer a constant amount of kb/s the speed increases when the head moves from the center towards the outer edge of the disc. Some DVD's can't reach the needed speed but drops sharply and that can cause a problem. ------------------ and Grannen
