Tap[RR]
I hope they have burn marks in jk2,cause i dont think it would look good if a stormtrooper is cut with a saber, and nothing appears on his armor,it isnt too violent or anything and it would make it more realistic, instead of the saber just "magicly killing him" leaving no mark. Also i hope the saber is a one hit kill, not just in single, multiplayer too. The one hit kill would add to the gameplay making it faster and more dramatic, not to mention making it more realistic. Guest Boba Rhett
Yeah I totaly agree. Perhaps in multiplayer, instead of always one hits kills you could, "gimp" the other player. what I mean by that is you could damage other players running or ligthsaber swinging abilities. I've downloaded one movie (i thought it was: http://www.jediknightii.net/downloads/movies/day3-jediknight2-hi.zip ) where there is clearly a possibility to leave marks in the level with your saber.... Just wanted to let ya know [ July 02, 2001: Message edited by: Mistermystery ]
Tap[RR]
uhhhh,of course ive seen that movie. but it does not clarify burn marks on the stormtroopers,id like to see saber burn streaks, kinda like tire marks, and they should have blasters make marks too, like they do in the movie. runab0ut
these are called decals... if you have seen the E3 movie... you would notice (when he steps on a lift and moves up) that when the saber is out and you unknowingly made contact to the wall... you'll see burn/melted marks. this is also can affect npcs and objects around you... npc: hey mister do you have a coin? kyle: *thinking: where should i go"* *kyle backs up and made contact with the npc* *SHWOWENGHDSOGHHHNGH* dead npc lies on the ground! GonkH8er
perhaps it will only be for the environment and when you take it too close to other characters, kyle responds and moves the saber away.....
En Taro Taldarin
The sabre definitely will make marks on the walls and so will blasters, but I'm not sure if they'll show up on stormies' armour. I think they should have hit detection stuff. If you hit them in any vital areas, they die immediatly, even in multiplayer. If you cut off someones arm, they will hold it in pain for a few seconds, and then resume fighting, but are greatly crippled, and will probably get killed soon unless they run away. If you cut off they're leg, same thing, except they'll have to crawl. Of course because of all this, they'll have to be some way of healing yourself, otherwise, it basically is one hit kills. With blaster shots, I think basically the same thing, except it takes a few shots to disable the limb, but each one diminishis it's capability, also, with blasters, the limb shouldn't come off. But with the vital areas, same thing with blasters. In my opinion, thermal detonators, rail detonators, conc' rifles, and sequencer charges should all be one hit kill as they are all more or less explosive weapons. Also, definetely a must, get rid of the carbon freezer weapon (I've forgotten it's name), not only is it illogical even for the Star Wars universe, but the whole idea is just plain stupid. Letalis
Interactivity is the word I think you're looking for. And I love your idea Gonk, that's very cool to have Kyle conscious of his surroundings. Hit locations would also be muchos cool, Soldier of Fortune was awesome with all the places you could shoot someone, and get different reactions. It's a definite must. They also need to focus on the fact that Stormies are wearing armour. But, it's in good hands!
skyler
Burn marks on enemies are a must. It would make fighting with a saber more enjoyable. Am i the only one who felt the saber was more like a big shiny stick you beat your opponents to death with and not like a lightsaber from the movies? JMO Also, different types of marks depending on the weapon that caused it would be great! GEJoeSolo
I think it would be cool if you could hacka guys arm off in MP, and if it was hid shooting hand he would have to use his other hand, or you could knock off a leg and he would hop around on one leg or something
Letalis
Aren't you terribly violent? Fact is, I'd love it to, it would make playing comical as well as interesting!
