CaptainRAVE Posted November 7, 2001 Posted November 7, 2001 Intel is planning to show investors the first of their new Pentium 4, 0.13-micron, chips at the Comdex show tomorrow according to reports. The chips, most of which will be designated S for server, were originally planned for release in December, but have now been pushed back to January. Intel is hoping that the new version of the P4 will help them get to speeds of 3GHz by the end of next year.
Darth Simpson Posted November 7, 2001 Posted November 7, 2001 I'd like performance over clock speed any day.
StormHammer Posted November 8, 2001 Posted November 8, 2001 I'd like performance with stability. Get the chipsets right, ensure compatibility, and then push the speed envelope.
