G.P LeChuck Posted September 8, 2001 Posted September 8, 2001 Argh... OK, I wrote a Word document that I didn't want anyone looking at, and made a password for it, but now I've forgotten the pucking thing!! Damn it, what shall I do?! Any hacking-tips?

G.P LeChuck Posted September 9, 2001 Author Posted September 9, 2001 But have to pay for the damn thing!
StormHammer Posted September 9, 2001 Posted September 9, 2001 Well, if the file just contains some text, you could try using Notepad. Yes...Notepad. I just saved a dummy Word file with some text in it, using password protection, and on a whim I tried opening it in Notepad. Sure enough, amongst all the garbage is the text I put in. Of course, it does depend on how large your Word document is...because Notepad can't handle large files. EDIT: Hmmm...maybe not. I tried duplicating the text over 3 pages - and it's only giving me the top line of each page. Damn. That su><. [ September 08, 2001: Message edited by: StormHammer ]
