Walkers or starfighters?

I have also thought about the issue with star fighters. In my oppinion this is what whould have happened, and if their is any way to improve the existing system to incorperate it..... PLEASE!!!

 

have the air units have 2 stages

 

1. Landed

2. En-route

 

its as simple as that. This would add to couardanating attacks and defenses, add to realizem, and could add campaign tools.

 

I also really wanted to see fighters attack while moving, not just sitting there "floating", and I would liked to have seen ground units be able to attack fighters. This would add to fighter straffes stratagy and deffenses. If fighters had light dogfighting ( swooping around after theyve passed over the unit) there would be a really interesting fray off fire against the fighters.

It's nice to make it as close to Star Wars as they can, but in order to be a game worth playing, it has to firstly be playable. A game that's just like Star Wars but is not balanced among the abilities of the civs would hold your attention for a few minutes, and then you'd get sick of it. A game that has good balance, as this one does, while it may not be a perfect replica of the Star Wars universe, will be playable for weeks or months, precisely because of the balance.

 

So, making it as much like Star Wars is great, but the game is well balanced and works, and I for one would not like to see them do anything that disrupts that balance, not even if it makes it more "realistic."

Rogue15 refers to Star Wars: Total Annihilation, a Star Wars total conversion for the popular RTS Total Annihilation. I'm one of the makers of the mod :D. If you own TA or can get a copy, I'd highly recommend downloading SWTA for a great alternative to SWGB.

I have Ta and like a it a lot i would really like to see what is like combined with SW. would there still be threee catargories of units, Air, Robots ( dont know proper name) and tanks . whay civs are there is it just empirre and rebels
