matt-- Posted January 4, 2002 Share Posted January 4, 2002 Well, is it a piece of software or a piece of hardware? If it's software, there will probably be an icon on the task bar, by the clock. Poke around the software to find the name. Follow your connection from where it enters your house, to the computer. If you get to a box that you can't identify, it is either a modem(cable probably), or a firewall. The firewall is the box closer to your computer. The manufacturer should be listed on the box. If your at work, then you'll need to have port 6667 forwarded to your machine. I doubt he'll cooperate...but you can always bribe him. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
