CaptainRAVE
Long awaited patches to plug up holes in its browser have been recalled. Microsoft reports that as soon as people who had downloaded the Critical Update patches have accessed internet, the company discovered flaws in the fixes and recalled them . The company said the fix file contents themselves had no problem, but the bundling software that controls distribution of the whole batch of patches is flawed and is being tested. Microsoft paradoxically said that no action needs to be taken by those who've downloaded the patches. If not fixed, the fix(!) for its GetObject flaw could be used by a hacker to access any file on a target system and execute his own code. Typical of microsoft to get everything wrong
