I just want to know whether I should get GB or some other RTS. This game sorta turned me off with its reliance on AOE2 with some gameplay enhancements. It seems like fun but I already have AOE2 and It seems like its almost the same thing. I do like the AT-At's though ;)

I'm just the perfect candidate to tell you about this. I brought this game two days ago and played it online and campaigning now. Ask yourself are you a huge fan of Star Wars? To be commanding AT-AT's, Royal Naboo Fighters, and Tie fighters at the tip of your fingers? To use Jedi's and Siths powers to crush out good or evil? That's the beauty of this game. It makes every Star Wars fan in the seat of the director. But you have to be a Star Wars Fan because you'll appreciate it more. The graphics isn't up to par but the multiplay is great and the campaigns are fun to play, but it is just like the AOE engine. Same feel and everything. In fact I narrowed it down to AOE or GB and brought GB. Why? Because I would appreciate it more because I'm more of a Science Fiction fanatic than a History fanatic. Julius Caesar doesn't interest me more than Sith Lords do.

Like he said, if you are a star wars fan then this is a must. If not it is still recommended. But if you absolutley hate, star wars don't bother. But it looks like you are a star wars fan, so get it.

Also even though it looks like and may at first feel like AOK, it is very different where it counts. That is the balancing. There are no equels of other units from AOK. Each unit is new and different. Except jedi, in a way are like monks with bonus hp and a brutal attack.

Good luck, in your final dissision.
