Altus_Thrawn Posted February 27, 2002 Posted February 27, 2002 I have an idea for the x-pack, even though it is probably to late for it to be included. I think, that it would be cool, if in the expansion for GB, some maps had 2 parts; a space part and a land/sea part. You would start off with 4 workers; 3 on land and 1 in space. Each player would have their normal land base and a space platform. Battles on land would be conducted as usuall, but you could also use air transports to send units and workers up into space. Perhaps also, if this idea was used, workers in space would be able to build space bridges and enlarge their space platforms. This would make expansion in space easier and would make it so that air turrets aren't everything in space. What do you think?

GrandMoffThoth Posted February 28, 2002 Posted February 28, 2002 Sounds like a GREAT idea. You can already do that though by making your own scenario & setting it up that way. BUT there are no Star Destroyer units, sooo, we can't REALLY do that yet. Plus I haven't yet figured out a way to build bridges in a game, only in Map Editor, soo, we can't do that yet either. Hopefully they'll listen to your idea & give us more options.

Natopo Posted March 1, 2002 Posted March 1, 2002 That sounds like a good idea BUT, It would cause a huge imbalance to the game. If they're going to make a Star Wars game that has Starships in it, it ain't gonna be in GB. It's probably going' to be more like Armada II.

Altus_Thrawn Posted March 2, 2002 Author Posted March 2, 2002 If my memory serves me, I didn't say anything about capitol ships. I think that, unless the battle had only capitol ships, the capitol ships would mess the game's ballance up.
