Bowen
I know most everyone has seen all the trailers for Episode II. At the end of the newest trailer for Episode II, you'll notice that Obi-Wan is fighting a Sith...Darth Bain I take it and if look closely at the head of the Sith he is fighting, he has spikes on his head like Darth Maul did. I'm not saying it's Darth Maul (it would be cool if it were) but perhaps he's of the same race as Maul was!
TUS_Tomcat
Ok i guess you want answers spoilers ahead There is no Darth Bane in episode ii... he lived thousands of years earlier, according to the EU... Obi wan is most likely saber fighting Count Dooku, played by Christopher Lee... The spike headed one, who Anakin is gonna dish out a death blow to, is not the Sith theyll fight, but a Tusken Raider... If you want to know why hes so goddamn angry with the tusken raiders I have the answer, but you might already know, or guess
txa1265
Actually, as a matter of semantics ObiWan is not fighting Count Dooku, but rather Darth Tyranus, the next Sith Apprentice. Since we have already hopped on the spoiler train, it now becomes obvious that they are one and the same. Agreed on the Tuscan ... Mike

txa1265
That is what I meant by stating it is a matter of semantics - nomenclature, if you will. Just like most if not all of us know that Sidious = Palpatine, that has not been 'officially revealed', though I hear it will be in EpII. Palpatine is the the supreme chancellor, Sidious the Sith Lord ... although they are the same person, he works hard to keep them distinct. So ... Dooku is the former Jedi who is now a separatist leader of planets breaking from the Republic, while Tyranus is the Sith Apprentice carrying out Sidious' evil plans. It should be interesting to see how that revelation occurs.
TUS_Tomcat
I wonder if theyll be kept as seperate somehow i think not...
txa1265
Not for the whole movie. Initially, Dooku is well known as the separatist leader, and only later does Tyranus name come up ... and it is thought he is the other half of the master/apprentice pair that contained Darth Maul. However, Dooku was a well known Jedi who was QuiGon's master and left the order after his death. So when ObiWan sees him he immediately knows it is Dooku, but then somehow also finds out the Sith connection. AFAIK, it is not revealed *to the Jedi* in this movie that Palpatine=Sidious, just to the audience. I suppose that happens in EpIII
