Coligeon Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 Hey all ^_^, just had a quick question about pre-ordering. I pre-ordered from Lucasarts.com and was curious to know if I will receive it on the day of release or will it be shipped on the day of release? Thank you.
Kurgan Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 I've never pre-ordered (or ordered for that matter) from them, might want to check their site or ask one of their reps... I don't think any pre-order site really guarentees you'll get the game the same day it is released though.

I think I read it while I was preordering it. Like I've said, I got Starfighter for PC before it was released in stores because I preordered it from LA.

Brick Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 Shipping on the actual release date doesn't make much sense, especially if the game is released on a Thursday or Friday, because the DO guarantee that you'll get the game the same week as the release date. The game is shipping standard, for free, which means several days. It's still guaranteed to get here the same week.
Justus Posted March 10, 2002 Posted March 10, 2002 I've pre-ordered a few games from LucasArts before, Force Commander and Rebellion both came to my doorstep the same day my local Babbages got their copies, the case with Rebellion though I had the game before Babbages put the game on the shelves.

The next day monday (03-04-02), I received an email saying, that my product would be shipped in TWO WEEKS (shipped on 03-18-02). I am currently trying to wedge emails into LEC's store. Hopefully I'll get my questions answered.
Syko Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 My thought would be that they'd ship the game to preorderers the same day they shipped the game out to stores...which would mean you'd get it the same day the stores got it (or before, cuz i don't think stores don't put it on the shelves if it shows up at 2pm that day). I preordered from LEC myself, so I'm hoping this is how it works out It did with the original JK...I preordered that and it showed up at like 6pm the night it was supposed to be in stores. -Syko

It prolly cost Lucas 12.50 to do over night they just feel like makin the extra Bux. But like i said i got mine from eb, and when gamecube came out they shipped the day before it came out so recipitants would get it on realease. IMO- Get it from EB, now u get Free 2 day shipping and a T-shirt

sabowan Posted March 13, 2002 Posted March 13, 2002 Hmm...usually, LEC is pretty good about filling pre-orders. When Rogue Leader was released for the Gamecube, people who ordered directly from Lucasarts got the game before stores did...about two weeks before the Gamecube was even released!
