Jeedii_zaarinn Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 it looks like u do get to have bullet time in jo cause it should that when kyle slowly sliced that reborn then when that happens i could say: MATRIX!!!
Bio Warrior Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 the dev team already said there would be an option to turn it on and off
RoyalGuard Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 The bullet time thing is an optional force speed effect for single player mode. You can either us it or use the multiplayer version of speed.
patchx Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 the slow motion spinning camera when the reborn was killed hasn't got anything to do with force speed its just a special effects option on the game to make it look cool when u beat one of the bosses. in fact i read from one of the devolopers who post on the board that force speed wasn't shown in the trailer. i never heard that the sp "bullet time" and the mp style of just running fast were both available in the sp game. while would u want to just run fast when u could do everything fast (ie bullet time) -patch
WD_ToRMeNt Posted March 15, 2002 Posted March 15, 2002 Yay, the 1000000th bullet time post. I'm glad there is the option to have speed work MP stye in SP.
Belgirion Posted March 15, 2002 Posted March 15, 2002 its not bullet time its force speed! FORCE SPEED!!! this isn't MAX PAYNE!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Tasuki Posted March 15, 2002 Posted March 15, 2002 I think its just a instant replay thing not speed or nonsense. It seems odd that they would go to any trouble to put it in since they would have to take it out for mulitplayer. now I shut up since I don' really know either.
StormHammer Posted March 15, 2002 Posted March 15, 2002 Just a few points of clarification... 1. The slow-mo spinning camera effect shown in the trailers is not Force Speed - it is simply a special effect that happens when you kill a bad guy, and this effect can be switched off in the menus if you don't like it. 2. Force Speed has not been shown in any of the trailers according to Raven...and from all accounts it will differ from the bullet time effect in Max Payne, because Kyle Katarn will apparently not slow down...only the things around him. Max Payne did slow down...and the only thing that remained at a constant speed was the ability to move your crosshair to aim at the bad guys. 3. I have not read anywhere that the Force Speed slo-mo effect can be switched off in SP in favour of the MP variety. If you have information concerning this...please provide a link.
