Guest WC_heavyarms Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 Ok, one gripe about these things: why do they hold so little? And why if iyou put assault mechs in them with garrisoned units in them, why don't they just count as 1 unit in the transport? That is so stupid, and the transport can only carry 5 units. That means in a space game, which was very close to islands, just no ships, you need these, and you have to make like 20 to carry your troops. Anyone else think this is dumb?
Guest Kudar Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 I guess so, but it'd be equally dumb to have a transport carry 50 units only to have it blown out of the air before it could land

Heard of fighter escort ?
Paragon_Leon Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 i don't think it's dumb. it rocks. having an army of transports coming at you is the greatest sight ever. apart from ATAT's of course. The more scale in the game, the better for me.
duder Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 But the same could be applied to AoE the tactic was to send in workers to build a base and military units...once you have your base you can start your military drive from there....and of course air support!
