Will jk2 run on my laptop?

I don't have it yet but I want to get this.

Intel® PIII 1.20 GHz-M 15 UXGA Display,

256MB Ram

64MB 4X AGP ATI Mobility Radeon 7500

If it JK2 won't run good or at all on it, I guess I will just get a 1.6 with a GeForce4 440 Go, but before I go ahead and by that I want to know if it will run.

Looking at the specs I'm assuming it is the Dell Inspiron 8100? I have the 8100 with the 32MB GeForce2GO card and it runs RtCW and MoH:AA very well - and they have slightly higher requirements than JK2. So ... I think you'll be more than fine.

Well, my guess is that you could force it to run through the software, or whatever that is when you don't have a good enough video card. Since it is using a modified Quake III: Arena engine, you would probably need a 3D video card. I would imagine if you could get Quake III: Arena to run, your would probably stand a good chance of having Jedi Outcast run too, but maybe not well. Or not at all. Thats just my guess.

What system are all you Inspiron owners running?

I have 8100 with XP, and the Radeon, and it runs stuff superbly. Only game I've problems with is AvP2 which, doesn't seem to auto run at all, and once installed (which it does okay) won't even run. And Deus Ex runs a little too slow, but still. RtCW works fine on it, as does D2 once I installed D2Loader. ;)

Am pretty sure JO will work okay. I am intending to try it on my laptop too, though will use it mainly on my desktop.

I'm not going to control it with totally a keyboard. I am going to use an intellimouse explorer also. And it is going to have a graphics card an ATI Radeon 7500 or if I get an Inspiron 8200 its gonna have a GeForce4 440 Go. I also want to run some newer games on it like Deus Ex 2 when that comes out. I heard of people running Quake 3: Arena on an 800 mhz laptop with a Geforce2 with 60 Fps. Also, this isn't going to be primary gaming machine, it is going to be one for when I go to the beach and on trips, etc. I have withdrawel alot from my computer.:)
