Guest wildthing Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 Just want to get the groups general opinion on this. 2 players form an alliance, 1 empire, the other Gungan Both empires combine forces for an assult on a enemy stronghold. The empire player contributes 6 AT-AT's, an assortment of assult and destroyer mech and a wide flavor of troops. The Gungan player contributes 2 or 3 Fambaa Shield Generators. Now from what I here, AT-AT's are about 400 hit points. Now add a shield to that, combined with shielded imperial mechs and troops. Can you say whoop some arse? The only problem would be making sure your partner and yourself quordinate for forces so they stick together. Thoughts??? ========================== I thought I saw a . . . WildThing
Guest Tie Guy Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 Here's another idea. Have 1 player as the naboo, a the other the empire. 1. Each side builds a few laser cannons. 2. The Empire builds 6+ ATATs and otehr mechs and troops, like a normal battle force. 3. The Naboo build nothing but air units, and LOTS of them. 4. The Empire and cannons go in and take out the AA-turrets/AA-units then the naboo come in with their air units and obliterate everything, with help form the ATATs etc.
Paragon_Leon Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 That's an interesting combination, but has anyone with the full game tested it ? Do Gungan Fambaa's work on allied players as well ?

As to trying it, i haven't played online yet, so i haven't tried it.
Guest wildthing Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 Another good combo would be wookies / empire. Empire provides the mechs, wookies provide the air and troops. Almost unstoppable . . . Welcome to my world =========================== I thought I saw a . . . WildThing
Guest jubjubjub Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 The problem is that the Naboo won't survive long enough to build up such a large air force without ground defenses. You are assuming the opponents just sit back and let you build up your attack force. Rebel air is a match for Naboo, and speeders make short work of Imperial mechs (and fambaa's, which are mech class) Just something to think about.
Zygomaticus Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 ive heard abt giving resources to your ally but how do u give him units???
Guest TarlSS Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 Your Faamba shield generators and AT-ATs might be nice in Tier 4, but could you stand up to a combined tech 2 Rebel trooper rush? Those things are GREAT for smacking down someone's economy, and setting them on the defensive. It generally shatters anyone's "ultimate build" plan to pieces.

No, the Imps could send some units over to help, and they of course would have turrets and fotresses. Besides, air units are good against almost anything, if you have fighters AND bombers, which you would.
