Guest ZeroXcape Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Since the units, landscape, and artwork of GB has changed so much since E3: is there anyway LucasArts could release a handful of new screen shots? You can easily spot the difference in the older shots and the newer shots. Love the new look...
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 yeah, put some screens of the Trade Federation or Naboo!
Guest Sherack Nhar Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Yes, and they resized the AT-ATs, which was my biggest complain before. But there are still some units that look off, like the Rebel Medium Transport (merely the size of three troopers put side-to-side).
Guest Kuma Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 I got a feeling that the wait for the game to come out will seem very loooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnggggggggggg to us maniacs
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 yes, but the patient are the ones that get the good stuff.
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 28, 2001 Posted July 28, 2001 Could be, but they'll probably release some more soon, so we won't have to wait too long.
Guest Rogue15 Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 i love being the only patient person in the world. It's so fun, you can sit back and make fun of the people that like to rush into things and get beat up like a sith.
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 Funny, usually the Sith are the ones who do the beating.
Lord JayVizIon Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 totally, hopefully lucasarts won't rush this game so that all the fine details are handled out. they have til probably late october (game ships around thanksgiving) so hopefully they can take some sweet time to handle their business.
Guest Boba Fett Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 I'd really like to see some more Wookiee screenshots. from what I've seen already the Wookiees look pretty cool with their wood and metal buildings.
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 Yes, the wookies are shaping up to be a very cool species indeed.
Paragon_Leon Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 i love the way the TIE-fighters look in all their incarnations. couldn't have been handled better if you ask me. X-Wings are a bit cheesy still, though
Darth_Rommel Posted July 30, 2001 Posted July 30, 2001 Good point, the X-wings (or are they Z-95's) look bad, but you know we haven't seen screenshots for the air units since the first batch of screenshots, they might be totally revamped
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 Yeah, i hope so, cause the y-wings looked awful too.
Paragon_Leon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 once X-Wings look fine, they'll be set... those are the hardest to do. I was just a bit disappointed when i noticed that A-wings and Snowspeeders seemed to glide over the ground. or it could be that they land if they are stationary. unlike starcraft-units.
Guest Tie Guy Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 Yes, i want to know so i can go view them immediately. I really wan to see what the A-wing look like.
Paragon_Leon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 there was a screenshot in PC Gamer. They were about the size of a Snowspeeder and looked pretty spot-on.
Guest Dorsk8199 Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 I just want to see some shots of jedi. Like reflecting blaster shots and dueling with other jedi. That would be some sweet stuff. Please say they do duel each other.
Lord JayVizIon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 yeah, i have that june 2001 version of pc gamer where they had shots of the a-wing. it looked pretty cool, the only thing was that it was on the ground. i wonder if it was resting? anyhow, from what i saw, they'll probably do some finishing touches to make the awing look better, but it looked pretty okay to me.
Guest ZeroXcape Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 Asking doesn't hurt... Can we get some in-game Movies next? http://www.galacticbattles.com/multimedia.shtml - 5 new GB screens.
Lord JayVizIon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 btw, pc gamer did mention that there will be around 14 environments in the game, unlike AoE where you kinda got tired of seeing a limited variety of tilesets. also, unit speed is affected by the terrain and what you can do on it. it's a pretty good intro, you guys should check it out if you get a hold of that edition (june pc gamer)...
Lord JayVizIon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 if you guys want to see it that bad, do you want me to scan and then send the pic of the awing over? i have adobe photoshop so the image could look pretty sweet....if so, give me a day or two, got some stuff to do....
Paragon_Leon Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 please do.. i can't put it up anywhere but those shots are a pretty nice addition to what's on show here. i think air-units should rest on the ground if you leave them alone, yes. but my guess is that they'll remain in hover in the actual game (easier for the programmers)
