Darth maul special move.

ive managed to pull it off a couple of times but i have no idea how i did it.

in episode 1 darth maul does does this really odd jump kinda like a horizontal scissor kick (during the fight with obi wan)

it doesnt seem to be one of the official special moves and looks mostly to be effect but it would still be nice to have.

the running kick is performed the same as a wall backflip , except against a person not a wall , run up to them and jump just before you hit , you will knock them back with a chance to knock them right down ala force push (i think used against single player stormies and the like it always knocks down like force push does) i use it in multiplayer all the time to kick people down in duels where you cant use push , i believe you need lvl3 force jump for it to work

I managed to pull off the butterfly kick a few times this afternoon, but I haven't got the faintest idea how it's done (I think it involves jump-back-sideways in some combination or other, but due to my normal playing practice (i.e. pressing all the buttons at once and hoping they'll do something cool) I haven't been able to identify exactly what I've done. There's a lot of moves that aren't covered in the manual... I've come across at least 3 today.

kinda, tavion looks to be finnishing the move. best way to describe it is to watch it. if you have the duality fan movie go to time index 2:40 and you will see it. also watch the battle in the training ground (level 5) you will see them do it quite often.

This move is done by standing close to your opponent and doing a forward + primary fire + jump. One of my favorite moves since it's confusing :) I've noticed you need to be in Medium stance to perform it. Have tried with fast and medium, but not heavy. It works great in singleplayer combined with force speed.

you aren't getting the idea really.

What Miracleasd is trying to do is a special jump, which is not an attack. It doesn't hurt any opponent in anyway. I have managed to do this little jump several times, but never on purpose.

The thing is, it looks so damned good.

For anyone who isn't sure what he means, whatch the film, when maul is fighting the two jedi's. He does a neat jump, his trunk goes to the horizontal, while his legs stay in the vertical and twist over his body.

As with in the film, in the game it isn't an attack. Just a neat little jump which looks pretty. Tavion does it if you fight her a few times.

And of course, I want to know how to do it, just like Miracleasd. Eventually, some one will figure it out.

I know what move you are talking about now. Are you sureeee you did it? Cause thats suppose to be one of the 2 other fighting styles that the AI does that we arent suppose to do I thought. I see the reborn doing it all the time but I have never been able to copy it and I have tried everything with all force powers set to full.

speaking of moves, there's this one that just looks bad.

just strafe, stop strafing and immideately press jum, instantaniously.

he'll still jump to the side you strafed, but it won't be the usual flip, but Kyle will be "lying" on the air. it looks weird.

I think the move you guys are talking about is accomplished by running at an enemy (must be directly in front of you) then as you get to him, press jump+primary attack together. 50% of the time you'll simply move out of the enemy's way, but I've found that I can often get a hit in as well doing this move. Against a sabre-wielder you'll most often get a sabre clash, against anyone else you'll heavily damage or kill them (at least in my experience - I've taken out clustered groups of Stormies this way).

I did it last night fighting a Shadow Trooper in the Yavin Swamp level...flipped up and to his side, but slightly behind him, then as he started to turn towards me, aimed a chop at his neck...not only did I decapitate him, but my swing came back across his body and severed his torso in two, Maul-style...talk about badass. The whole time the slo-mo cam was on. If my jaw hadn't been on the ground in awe I would have had the sense to snap a few screenshots. :( (note that I was playing with the g_saberRealisticCombat option on)

SithDrummer, try bind (key) screenshot at the console, where (key) equals whatever key you want to use to take 'em.
