Welcome to the forums, people. :) Here...*hands each a chocolate Jedi Medallion* ;)

Okay, I've got an Ahtlon T-Bird 850Mhz with 256Mb SDRAM, and a GeForce 2 GTS 32Mb DDR. I can run the game at 1024x768 in 32-bit with high settings...as long as I don't turn on volumetric shadows. It does skip the odd frame now and then, and it ran much smoother on 16-bit.

If you only have 128Mb of RAM, that might mean you have to lower some of the texture settings. ChangKhan[RAVEN] has indicated that 512Mb of RAM will improve game performance when running on higher settings.

Your processor is fine, but you might want to consider upgrading the RAM in the near future, as well as getting a GeForce 2 or higher graphics accelerator card. ;)

Getting Geforce3 is definitly worth it. Jedi Knight II have the option to turn volumetric shadow on. This is what makes the Jedi Knight II's graphic so beautiful. Imagine shadow move from your cheak bone to your fore head, or move from your back to your lower back as you move away or towards a light source. I have never seen such an effect in any other first person shooter games. Why play a game with its best features turned off just because you can get a playable framerate when you can enjoy the game to its fullest. Get the Geforce3 or Geforce4.

hey, DON'T GET MX! MX is a suped DOWN version of GF2, get a GF2 Ti or a GF3 Ti, the GF3 will last you quite a bit longer than a GF2, so i say spend the extra dough to get a GF3, it will be worth it in the long run. GF3 can run any game out there today, most of them with full graphics (though i don't think ANYTHING could run ghost recon full graphics...).

Yep, you can. My old machine was a pIII 600 128mb with a 8mb Nvdia video card. I could play Quake iii at medium detail level with good frame per second. Consider this is based on the Quake III arena engine and your computer is that much faster than my old PIII I definitly think you can.

dude if i were you, i would NEVER recommend getting a gf3 ti200...it is only a little cheaper than the radeon 8500, which gives performance about (almost equal) to that of a ti500....its much better than the ti200, and only at a difference of like 20 bucks comeon! are you an idiot? of course not..

$112 - GeForce3 TI 200

$133 - RADEON 8500

the radeon will last you far longer than a gay ti200

YOU do the math..its YOUR money

im running a p3 650, 128meg ram and a gf 2 mx400 and it works fine with mine...most of the settings are on medium/high and i only get slow down when there are a lot of bots on screen...so if you dont have money to burn get a gf 2...dont get a radeon cause the company is selling off its tech bit by bit so it wont be supported that much in the future...
