This may seem really simple to most of you, but i have absolutely no idea how to take screenshots of Jedi Knight 2. My hypersnap is completely rubbish and never works, and i want to take some screenshots of the game to make my friends jealous of the pretty graphics.

any help that anyone could give me would really be appreciated, as i have searched for ages for an answer. there must be a simple way.

cheers for any help that i get

There aren't any keys binded to it.

Go to the Console (SHIFT + ~) and type in:

\bind X screenshotjpeg

X stands for the key you want to use to take a screen shot, and this will create a screen shot in jpeg format.

Damn, that's what I read for everyone but it isn't working for me. I'm typing in the console /bind r screenshotjpeg but it doesn't take it. It's not in the folder :( Do you have to enable cheats as well?

right, this is for ppl who cant get the screenshot function to work. i tried it and eventually made it run ok.

you must type exactly this:

\bind "x" screenshot NAME

where x is the key that you want to bind it to and NAME is the file that the picture will be saved as. i say this because on mine the function captures only 1 picture as a file of that name. it cant take more than one at a time, or the first picture will be overwritten by the next. the only thing to do if u want more than one picture is to bind more than one key to the screenshot function (by the way, if anyone knows how to take multiple screenshots with just one key id love to know how).

as with all binds (as far as i know) the binded key must be in speech marks.

if this doesnt work, then get rid of the space between screenshot and the name of the file, so that the command looks like this:

\bind "x" screenshotNAME

if it still doesnt work, then just fiddle around with it until it does.

hope that helps. and cheers to everyone who took the time to read this and previous messages and helped.
