I am never one for ratings. God gave me a mind of my own, I dont need to let other people tell me what game is good and what is not or the pros and cons of the aspects of a game. I extremely enjoy playing SWGB and I think it is a great game and thats my opinion.

No reviewers seem to understand the HUGE difference between the units of different civs. On paper they may look similar, but anyone who has played teh game should be able to tell you otherwise.

This is what I have found on all the reviews, I highly doubt any of the reviewers really spent time looking/playing the game, they may play for a few hours (or not play it at all as evident in PCGamer) and then throw together a review, but not enough to do it justice, oh well I hope people will trust their own judgement and try it out first before believing blindly in a review.

I hear you tirion, the only thing is that i don't think people are giving the much deserved respect this game should get. it sucks when all the reviewers talk about the gaming being too much of a clone from AOK. they should dig deeper and get more of a feel for the game b/c it has its differences...

This is why Demo are around. So you can decide for yourself on whether or not you like a game. I buy a game for a few reasons.

1.Watched it Develop and like what the game entails.

2.Looks like fun

3.I've played the Demo and loved the game

4.Somebody I trust recommeded it to me.

I never listen to reviewers who I have no idea how they look at things.

Is this person an AoE buff, does he not like star wars. Did he ever play AoE. These things and more influence a critic. When you read it you get a biased opion. Make up your own minds.

I'm a little shaken by the review from Gamespot, but who gives a care I'm getting it even if it got a 6. I've been waiting for this since January when it was announced, and also i have the demo and it rocks hard. I play online everyday, im LAMINATEDSTEAK.

Gamespot sometimes pissed me off they get you all excited about buying games then they wait 2 weeks to review it. They talk so good about the civs then they start off with:

"Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds will send Star Wars purists into a tizzy. Tauntauns on Tatooine? Dewbacks in outer space? Naboo Fighters tussling with X-Wings that haven't been invented yet? TIE Fighters with shields? And since when do Wookiees have tanks? The Star Wars universe already requires a willing suspension of disbelief, but most fans at least expect some internal consistency. "

What the hell is this? Tie's with shields? I think he missed his period cramp pills this morning and wrote the dumbest review ever.

Naboo Fighters tussling with X-Wings that haven't been invented yet?

The stuff about nova carbon ore and food being AOK's carbon nova ore and food is already mentioned in the preview. The stuff about the aircraft... already mentioned.. I wish they would discuss more their opinions and insight on gameplay, online play, and game balance. We already know this is Star Wars and AoK mixed together it was stupid to reiterate all this again.

Too many times Gamespot and PCGamer hype up a game, then slam it around in a review they are confusing like that.

How do we know? Has anyone seen Episode 3 yet?

Bah the review was alright but if you want suspension of disbelief read the previews, then reread the review.

I'm suprised that the game got that good reviews. The low altitude hovering aircraft and the troops that have to be still to fire is enough to break this game all by it self.

I am suprised about the score as they gave a long list of bad points about the game, then gave it a score of over 8.

(GO BOBA SITH! :fett: )

Very true Tirion !!!

I hate ppl running around tellin ya "this game is better than that one, cause it got 0.997 % more at xxx" !!

If I played a game and liked it, I buy it, and a bad review doesn't matter !! I fared well with this attitude (save one exception :damn you Demonworld II !!!)

Who gives a smeg about the graphics?

I certainly don't, I think the textures of the terrrain and buildings are a million times better than AOK.

And here i read that some braindead monkey is writing that they are nothing on AOK ( i think it was Gamespot or something stupid)

I am a gameplay over graphics person all the way.....
